Dakota Burns Obituary, Death – Dakota Lane Burns, a musician, singer, and songwriter who was 25 years old on November 2nd, 2019, is now playing his guitar and singing among the angels. The service will be conducted at First Baptist Church in Decatur on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial in Preskitt Cemetery in Decatur.
The family will be at the church to receive visitors on Thursday, November 7, between 6 and 8 p.m. Pastor Mike Wheat will preside over the event. Pallbearers will be Gray Clark, Corey Allcock, Brolin Scott, Franklin Woods, Cedrick Evans, Dalton Ford, Johnny Peoples, Ryan Latham, Daniel Latham,
and Barry Shaw. Dakota was born on September 6, 1994 in Fort Worth, Texas, but spent her childhood in Decatur. Kevin Drew and Donna (Shaw) Burns, her parents, raised her there. Dakota enjoyed singing and performing for the audience. He was able to influence a large number of people with his musical skills. His smile was contagious, and it made your heart feel warm and cozy on the inside. He was taken from this world much too soon.
Everyone will miss him greatly, and his legacy will live on in eternity via the music he made.
